McCall Getaway

2008 was when we had that huge recession. I remember seeing homes for sale everywhere and lots of people were losing their jobs. My work laid off a lot of people and I was left but only because I could do multiple jobs. At one point I was doing the jobs of what was once 5 people – customer service, reception, admin, marketing and accounting. Greg was still doing siding at this point but the jobs were hard to come by. He had to go where the work was. One of those jobs was in McCall – which is about 2 hours from us.

I had the chance to go up and have a little getaway with him while he was there. I left Friday after work and drove up there. I doubt we could afford a hotel ourselves so we must of stayed in the hotel he was at while working up there.

On Saturday we spent some time in McCall and then we both headed home together. We stopped in Tamarack. One of the houses there was one the company I worked for had done so I took a few pictures of it. We stopped at random place for me to take pictures. I saw this long bridge across the river so we stopped there and walked across it and down the railroad tracks for a bit.

I’m sure this was a nice little break for us. Not sure if my sister or mom watched the kids but thank you to whoever did!
