The kids were outside playing and I was in the house doing something.   Jaelee came in and said she needed marshmallows.  I asked her why and she told me because she was camping and had a fire.  Of course you need marshmallows when you are camping and have a fire.

I thought cute the kids are outside pretending like they are camping.  I went out there to see what they were doing.  They had opened the garage and got out their camping chairs.  They had put them around a small little stack of sticks they had collected from the yard.  I thought it all looked very cute and creative.   Until, Jayse flicks something in my face.  It.Was.A.Flame.  He had gone into the drawer where Greg keeps a lighter for the BBQer and was outside with it trying to start a fire with their little stick pile.

At this point I was in disbelief.  I couldn’t believe how smart those little buggers were to find the lighter, collect sticks and try to start a fire.  I of course immediately took it away and told Jayse of the dangers.  But really I couldn’t be that made because I still have to admit it was very ingenious.

*that is a Schucks auto parts cup koozie Jayse is wearing on his hand.  He put it on one day as a glove and wears it everywhere now.  It’s a super hero glove to him.
