We had taken our family photos for our Christmas cards in October and when I showed people the photos online and in person it seemed like Greg’s beard was getting so much attention.  A girl at work said well if it’s getting so much attention maybe you all need one.  I thought that was a great idea so I went to the craft store and bought some fur. I then cut the fur into the shape of beards and made me and the kids beards.  The color of the fur just happened to match my hair perfectly.

I had noticed near my work that there was a train with it’s doors open just sitting there.  I thought it would be a perfect backdrop to our beards.  We loaded the jeep with my old trunk, tripod and a ladder.  I was torn between dressing us in hobo-ish looking clothes and our regular clothes.  In the end I chose our regular clothes because I thought we might take some pictures without the beards too and we did.

I set my camera up on the tripod and we used the ladder for me and the kids to get into the train.  Greg moved the ladder out of the picture and set the camera on the timer and then ran and jumped into the train for our photos.

It was pretty fun and I am really happy with the way the pictures turned out.  I then designed our Christmas card and printed them out.  Hope everyone enjoyed them as much as we did.
