Thanksgiving

We were fortunate enough to go to Greg’s families for Thanksgiving.  We left Wednesday afternoon and drove to Vancouver and stayed with his brother Scott & Courtney for the night.

Thanksgiving morning we woke up early to finish our drive down the coast.  I wanted to leave really early to get a lead on the Portland traffic.  Just before we got to Reedsport Jayse started to throw up.  I think he got some motion sickness, we had been going threw some pretty windy roads.  When we finally arrived we had enough time to shower and head over to Brian’s.

Thanksgiving was awesome.  The food was so GOOD.  The turkey was moist, the ham was delicious and everything else was amazing.  I didn’t take a whole lot of pictures but luckily my mother-in-law did and I stole some from her facebook :).

(Greg’s 1st plate of food, so glad LaRee got a photo of this because I am always trying to explain to people this.)

Friday Greg and his dad went duck hunting – I don’t think they got any birds.  When they got back the girls went to Coos Bay to go shopping.  It was nice seeing Coos Bay and what kind of shopping they had.  It was a lot more than I thought.

Saturday we kinda just hung out all day and went to Shore Acres for the lights.  The lights are really cool.  The kids love it.  We saw Santa Clause and he gave the kids candy canes and Jaelee took a picture with him but Jayse was not up to it.  We went into the little house for a retreat from the cold and had some hot cider and cookies.

(All the kids fell asleep on the way to the lights)

(The 3d glasses were really cool, when you wore them and looked at the lights they would turn into stars or bells or whatever else was on the glasses)

Sunday we had to head home.  Along the way we stopped at a restaurant off the freeway in Hood River.  It was really good.  Got a picture of the kids in an old phone booth.  It was a great Thanksgiving weekend.
