Circus

Ever since the kids saw Madagascar 3 they have been asking if they can go to the circus.  So when I heard the circus was coming I got tickets for the whole family to go.

The day of the circus they were having a parade downtown.  Greg had taken Jayse a couple of years earlier and said it was awesome with elephants and dancing.  Greg had to work so I took the kids by myself.  The parade was a bit under whelming.  No elephants, no candy and it was cold.  Jayse was just wearing a  shirt and shorts and he was freezing.   Luckily Jaelee was wearing more clothes and she brought her favorite blanket with her.  She graciously let Jayse use her blanket to keep warm.

When the parade was over the kids and I headed to a friends for a baby shower.  After that we headed back downtown to meet Greg for the circus.  I was in such a rush to get to the arena to get a good seat that I forgot my camera and my phone.  Luckily I spotted Greg and was able to wave him over to our spot.

The circus was pretty fun.  I hadn’t been to one in a long time and I don’t think it was as big as this one.  It was pretty long and the kids seemed to really like it.  Although Jaelee thought it was too loud, surprise surprise.  The only thing I disliked was how much they peddled all the souvenirs.  I know they are raising money for the Shiners hospitals but come on.  My kids would not stop asking for stuff and I was not about to pay $15 for cotton candy or a light up sword.  In the end the kids said their favorite parts were the dogs and the clowns.  Here’s the few pictures I got from the parade in the morning.
