Wow where has the time gone? I have never been this far behind on my blog. I am going to catch up. I thought about just skipping a big chunk of things and catching up but I mostly keep this blog as a journal of the things we’ve done. The kids and I love to look back and see the photos and read about what we did. I also use the blog to create their yearly books. So I am going to start from where I left off and try to catch up.
For the Fourth of July we went to Melba early to catch the parade. We went with my bff and her family. As we were walking from where we had parked to our “spot” to watch the parade Jaelee and Mia grabbed hands and held them the whole way there. It truly is one of the cutest things to see my little girl get along so well with my best friends little girl!
There were a lot of people at the parade. The kids had to fight quit a few other kids for the candy. We didn’t end up with very much but they still had a lot of fun. Except, when the loud ambulance and fire trucks went by the girls covered there ears but they still tried to wave with their elbows!
After the parade we headed home really quick to get the kids’ swimming suites and our potato salad and headed over to Theresa’s for some BBQ, fun & fireworks.
They had 2 swimming pools for the kids to play in and they all had so much fun. The played in the water for hours. It was really hot so I went to go get my feet wet in one of the pools and as I did the kids thought it would be funny to get me wet. This started a huge water fight. I was soaked in the end and then turned the kids to help me get everyone else wet. We had a huge water fight. Theresa’s sister has a little dog that she brought over and Jaelee was obsessed with it. She carried around that little puppy everywhere. She wrapped it in blankets, fed it, watered it and carried it everywhere.
We ate some delicious BBQ and lots of other great food. When the sun started to set the kids started on the fireworks. They did sparklers, pop its and these other ones that you threw and they let off this smokey color. When it got dark Theresa’s husband let off the fireworks he got. We were lucky enough he got some illegals because he put on a great show for us.
