August 16th – Instead of our annual trip to Oregon to see Greg’s family over labor day we went a bit early in August.  Jenelle was going to be there from Japan and Sharlee from Georgia.  We have been talking about going over there for a week for a while and thought this would be the perfect time to do it.

We left Friday afternoon and drove to Portland/Vancouver to stay with Courtney & Scott.  We didn’t get there until later and stayed up way past my bedtime talking.  The next day we had to leave to go to a wedding.  However, before we had to leave Courtney took me to Ikea for the first time.

We had a record fast trip through there.  We saw the whole store cruising through it and throwing stuff in our bags along the way.  It was a lot of fun and so glad I got to go but I will certainly want to go again when I have more time.
While we were at Ikea Greg, Scott & the kids played at the pool.  When we got back it was time for us to head out to the wedding.

We had a bit of a drive to get there and unfortunately arrived late.  We missed the whole wedding ceremony but made it just as the reception was starting.  Greg had a good time, seeing a lot of people he hadn’t seen in a long time.  I and the kids however were a bit bored.  the location though was beautiful.  It was outside right near the water and the property was beautiful.

After the reception we headed to Greg’s parents.
