Pumpkin Carving

This year when we carved pumpkins we really let the kids be hands on.  They helped cut off the tops, cleaned out their own guts (althought Jayse really didn’t want to), drew their own jack-o-lanterns and then cut them pretty much all by themselves.

They were very proud of themselves and I was very proud of them.  After Jaelee did her first jack-o-lantern she wanted to do one of the pictures out of the book we have.  I just quickly drew it on her pumpkin and she cut it out.

We of course had to collect all of our seeds so Greg could bake them.  They always taste really good so the extra work is worth it.

We didn’t have any more candles this year so Greg had to run to the store real quick before we all got to see them lit up and once we did they looked great!
