This year I was proud that we were going to see Santa weeks in advance of Christmas. We had decided to do the loop of seeing all the good Christmas lights and then head to the Botanical Gardens to see the lights there and then see Santa.
My friend and her family came with us this year making it even more fun. When we got to the Botanical Gardens we decided to go get Santa over with first. It’s a good thing we did because the line was really long. While the kids and dads stayed in line Theresa and I went to the concessions and got small doughnuts for everyone. They were gone in seconds!
When we finally got to see Santa the set up was really awful this year. They had Santa and the camera set so that you could not get your own picture. I tried my hardest but didn’t get any good photos of the kids with Santa so I opted to purchase the disk they had with the pictures the photographer took. I was also disappointed because this year Jayse was so ready to sit on Santa’s lap all by himself and tell him what he wanted for Christmas (anyone who has read my posts on visits to Santa before knows this is a big deal). Unfortunately they had Jaelee go first and took her picture and then asked if there was anyone else that wanted a picture wit her. I said yes her brother so we put Jayse up there with her they took a few pictures and then ushered them off. I was trying to say stop I want some of just Jayse with him but it was too late they had already ushered on the next kid.
After the visit with Santa we didn’t have much time before the gardens closed so we had to do a fast loop around the place. It was still a lot of fun and so awesome to see all the beautiful lights.
