We were lucky enough to go to Yellowstone this summer with Darin and his family. Jess’s parents live in the Rexburg area and were gracious enough to let us stay there for a long weekend so we could visit Yellowstone. We left on Friday after work.
I wanted to document every step of the way so I took a picture of the kids eating pizza before we left. I got a picture of the amount of ranch Greg and Jayse put on their pizzas. We had to stop and get gas so I got a picture of that. We also had to stop and get oil for my car so I documented that. What I didn’t manage to get a picture of was all the construction we had to go through. It was crazy! I did however, get a picture of the speed limit sign. I tell you going 80 on that open freeway was awesome! I grabbed a selfie and a few pictures of the kids watching or playing with their electronics.
When we got to Jess’s parents it was late and they were already asleep but her mom left us a note on the door. It was so thoughtful and made us feel very welcome.
In the next post I’ll get to the fun stuff of our first visit to Yellowstone.
