For the month of May both the kids were chosen as students of the month.  They both have each struggled in an area of school.  For Jaelee it is reading.  For Jayse it is math.  Because they each have done so well and continued to keep working at school they were awarded the Diligence award.  The day before they were to get the award Jayse threw up at school.  He then had to stay home for 24 hours meaning he would miss the assembly where he got his award.  We were lucky enough though that the school let him attend the assembly to get his award.  They were so cute during the ceremony, they were really excited.  They each got a school backpack and a certificate.
