For the kids last soccer games, Greg was finally able to make it to them. While I was getting ready Greg helped get the kids ready. We had to hurry because Jayse had a game at 9 am. We hurried out the door and got to the soccer field 20 minutes before his game started. As he was out warming up Jayse realized that he had forgot to put his shin guards on. He is not allowed to play in the game with out them. He had a total break down because of it. We asked him to get up and go talk to his coach about it, we told him we would run to Walmart and get him some for his game if he’d stop crying and get up and go talk to his coach but he refused to, he just sat behind our chairs crying his eyes out.
Once the game started we told him it was too late now but he needed to go sit with his team and support them. He again refused to and so I told him we were going to go to the car where he could cry there. He did not want to get up so I ended up half dragging him and half carrying him to the car. Needless to say after some screaming fits and Greg and I tag teaming Jayse he ended up spending his last game in the car while Greg, Jaelee and I watched his team.
Jaelee’s game was not for a few hours after Jayse’s so we headed home.
We came back to the field hours later and Jaelee played her last game. She got to be one of the team captains and she got to pick heads or tails for her team. She played goalie for part of it and did a really good job. She seems to really like playing goalie and she does ok but she is still afraid of the ball and closes her eyes when it comes too close. Her team ended up winning their game. It was their only win for the season so it was nice that they at least got one.
