Holly smokes ya’ll this is my 500th post! Whooza. That’s a lot of text and pictures but I’ll tell you I am so happy to have a journal of all the things we have done since the kids were 9 months old. I have tried to keep track of other things over the years – their height, their missing teeth, their firsts and I have been terrible at it but the blog is one place I have kept up with our goings on and the kids and I love to look back at everything. Anyway back to what this post was meant to be about and that is our awesome trip to Oregon.
Greg and I were lucky enough to stay at his brother Brian’s for this trip. Thanks again guys! His parents house just had so many people there already. Our nephew Tyler made it to regionals with his all star baseball team and they were heading to Meridian for the week. I was so bummed it was the same time we were in Oregon, we would of loved to see him play in regionals. So proud of him though for making it! On Sunday they were busy packing and getting ready to head to Meridian so Greg and I got out of their way and took the kids out to breakfast.
Every year when we get to go to Oregon we try to do a family picture. It is not easy getting everyone together so when we are together we have to get a photo. I don’t know how we did it but we managed to get a picture with all 31 (I think) people looking. One of these times I would love to get pictures at the beach or in one of picturesque mountains but it’s hard enough getting everyone together in one place so I take what I can get.
Since my sister in-law had pinned this place in Oregon called Thor’s well I saw it and just knew I had to put it on my photography bucket list. Since she was going to be there as the same time as me I brought up the idea of going to see it. Thank you Sharlee for agreeing because it was awesome!
Greg and the kids weren’t as excited about it as the rest of us so he stayed back with them. I rode the hour up with Darin and his family. It was really neat to see and the noise of the waves hitting the rock was awesome. It sounded just like thunder. I had a good time exploring around. I even talked Keiran into doing a selfie with me. I wished my kids would of come with me because I think they would of liked it. That just means I’ll have to go again and take them!
