On Tuesday we went to Half Moon Bay and spent the day there playing on the beach and crabbing.  We were lucky enough to have the boat this day and get out and crab.

There were 6 turkey vulture on the beach that I was obsessed with.  They were just fascinating to me, to watch as they tore apart a fish carcass .  I was able to creep pretty close to them.

We ended up catching a lot of crab!

When we were leaving I was asking Jayse to wipe some of the sand off his legs and it turned into this big drama moment and we both ended up yelling.  I felt like after that we needed a moment.  Jaelee went home with Grandma so Jayse and I went to the beach to talk and hang out.  It was nice getting that time with just him.  I happened to capture some pictures of him that are now some of my favorite.

When we got back to the house Greg was cooking all the crab.  It was kinda neat seeing all the crab laid out.  I don’t really like to eat the crab but I tried it once again.  I mean when you help catch it you have to right?

One of my favorite things Jaelee and I have done the last few years is to go get cupcakes and take them up to the lighthouse and eat them while the sun goes down.  We added dinner to our adventure this year.  We went to Dairy Queen and picked up some dinner.  We got our cupcakes and then headed up to the lighthouse.  We put the hatch up in the back of my SUV and sat on the back with a blanket on and ate and watched the sun set.  We hopped out of the car for a bit and took a few silhouette pictures.   I just love sharing that moment with her.
