On Friday was Kaitlyn’s wedding.  I got up early and met them at the salon to get a few pictures of Kailtyn getting ready and of her dress.  I wasn’t able to find a place to hang her dress but I got some pictures of her shoes and hair piece.

Once her hair was done they went back to get ready and I went back to my hotel to get ready and get Greg and the kids.  We headed to the temple after that and waited for the bride and groom to emerge!

I was able to get to know Kaitlyn and Alex a bit the week before their wedding.  They have such a cute story.  Kaitlyn was Alex’s first date and as they say the rest is history, ha.  What a great first date that must of been.  They were apart quit a bit during their years of dating.  While Alex attended a year at BYU and a 2 year mission.  Alex said that the distance only made him realize even more how much he wanted to spend the rest of his life with Kaitlyn.  Isn’t that just the cutest?  I think they said they were engaged 6 days after he returned from his mission!

I was excited to be able to photograph this special occasion for them.  The usual cloudy weather in Portland was nowhere in site and it was a nice sunny day.  While this is always welcome in Portland it was really difficult at this particular time of day to take photographs.  Kaitlyn and Alex were married at the Portland temple and the grounds were just beautiful.  We had a short time line for photos and a ton of other people at the temple.  While taking their pictures Kaitlyn and Alex were so cute and so easy going.  They just did whatever I asked.  I think we got some great photos of them.
