The last few years Jaelee and I have taken a trip up to Lewiston to visit my best friend.  We didn’t get to go last year because I bought tickets to Disney On Ice before I knew the date of homecoming and they happened to be at the same time.

Anyway we were able to go this year.  I picked her up early from school on Friday and we headed out.  It’s about a 5 hour drive.  Jaelee does pretty good traveling.  It’s much easier when it’s jut her and I and I don’t have to listen to the kids fight.

We always stop at the same rest stop and get a few pictures because the view is so awesome.

When we got there it was too late to do much so we just hung out at Amy’s.  Saturday we headed up to Moscow and got there in time for the parade.  We grabbed some hot chocolate and mini doughnuts and waited for the parade to start.  The parade was really long.  I think we were there for 1 hour and 15 minutes!  Jaelee was happy though, she got lots of candy.

After the parade we went and got lunch at a nice little pizza place.  The kids got to play and we got to eat some delicious pizza.

After lunch we headed to the market and walked around.  Jaelee got to ride the teeter totter with one of the Tri Delts.  After the market we headed back to Amy’s.

At Amy’s the kids played outside for a bit and I had to snag some pictures of Jaelee.

That night Amy graciously watched all the kids while her husband and I went to a haunted world.  It was pretty fun but we had to stand in line for 1 1/2 hours to get in and then it only took 5ish minutes to go through the whole thing.

Sunday morning Jaelee and I had to head out.  We ate breakfast with Amy and then hit the road.  We got stuck in some major traffic.  They were repairing a road and it was down to one lane.  We ended up waiting for an hour and half.  Luckily we have a DVD player and Jaelee and I just watched a movie while we were waiting.  Because we had to wait so long Jaelee and I were starving and we were not anywhere near town so we stopped in a tiny little town that only had one place to eat.  We got some really good food and then got back on the road.
