McCall Winter Carnival 2016 – Day 4

On Sunday we had to check out of our condo by 11.  While we were packing everything up and cleaning up the kids were outside playing in the snow some more.

I just had to go out and snag a few more photos of them.  It was the first day since we’d been there that it wasn’t snowing and the sun was shining.

Once we had everything loaded and were ready to go we headed to town to grab lunch at My Fathers Place.  They have some really good hamburgers.  On our way there we saw a bunch of deer running across the street and then down the side walk.

After eating we had to go see the Minion sculpture we missed on Friday.  Then we had to say good bye to Amy and her family as they headed home.

After saying good bye we decided to stick around and look at a few more sculptures and hit up the candy store.  It’s become a tradition that we go to the candy store every time we are in McCall.

While we were walking around looking at scultpures I asked Jaelee why she wasn’t taking any pictures with her camera and she got a look on her face and started crying.  I asked her what happened and she said she forgot her camera back at the condo.  I asked her how that happened because I had gone through everything and didn’t see that we left anything. She told me she had put it under one of the beds.  Greg and I have terrible cell phone reception up there so we had to drive to the rental place and they were very kind and told us to go ahead and go back to the condo to get it.

While on the way back to the condo we saw all the deer that had been crossing the street earlier.  They were in someones yard eating off the trees.  We were able to pull in there and get fairly close for me to take pictures.  I took 100s but only a handful turned out good.  It was still fun to see all those deer.

After we got Jaelee’s camera and other things we headed back to town.  On our way I saw this red building with this huge icicles and thought it was cool so I snapped a picture real quick.

After all that we decided it was time to head home.  I wanted to get some family pictures though while I had these awesome lenses.  So we drove to find a good spot.  All I really wanted was a road with a lot of snow and trees around, that was a lot harder to find then I thought.  Mostly because the sun was so bright I had to find a road that was pointed in the right direction.  I never really found what I wanted but Greg was getting grumpy so I just picked a place and we got out and took a few photos.

We had a great time and I”m glad we have made this a yearly tradition.  Can’t wait for next year!
