After family pictures and lunch we headed to Orlando. It was a pretty long drive and we got to our hotel late so we just ate and went to bed.
The next day we got up as early as possible to get as much time in Universal Studios as we could. We didn’t schedule a shuttle ride to the park because we weren’t aware we had to do it the previous day so we had to walk. Our hotel was really close but it was still quit the walk.
I broke my sunglasses and needed some ASAP. Right outside the park there we a cart selling some so we stopped and bought some for me and the kids. By this time I was already dripping with sweat but excited to get in.
I had already purchased our tickets through Costco and it was really quick and easy to get our tickets and get in. By already having the tickets we skipped huge lines.
We wanted to go on the Minion ride first but the line was really long and it said there was 1 1/2 hour wait. We decided to go on the Shrek ride first instead. It was pretty fun. It was a 3d live action show.
We went on a few more rides and ended up in Simpson land. We had lunch in Mo’s Tavern and the kids got a flaming Mo. It was fun. They do a good job at Universal of making things feel authentic.
After lunch we watched a live animal show. They had birds, dogs and other animals doing tricks. Then we went on some rides in Simpson land and then I couldn’t handle it anymore and wanted to get to Harry Potter world.
Harry Potter world was amazing! There was so much to look at and it looked amazing. It felt like we were there. We went on all the rides we could there and they were amazing. Especially in Gringots. The bank was awesome. Just the line through the bank looks so authentic and there is so much to see. They have newspapers with images moving. The goblins looked so real and moved I kept asking Greg if he thought they were robots or actors. In the end I realized they were robots. It was one of my favorites.
We went to Ollivanders to get wands for the kids. Then we went on the train to the other side of Harry Potter world. At that point it was close to closing time so we just walked through the other side of Universal to head back to the hotel.
At this point we had been walking all day and my feet hurt so bad. And now we had to walk all the way back to our hotel. It was horrible. I was so tired by the time we got back. We were starving and tired, I didn’t feel like going anywhere else so Greg went and got us some Burger King.
It was a great day at Universal! I didn’t want to bring my big camera and not be able to go on rides so I only used my phone for pictures there were times I wished I had it but I’m glad I left it at home so I could enjoy the rides. At least I still got some.
