After Jayse’s game we had to hop in the car and hurry to Jaelee’s game which was 2 hours away in McCall. McCall is a beautiful resort town that we usually go to in the Winter for their Winter carnival.

One of the moms on the football team knew the owners of a small hotel up there and got the team a really good deal for anyone that wanted to stay up there. We thought we might as well since we had been so busy with cheerleading and football it would be nice to have a night away.

We made it up to Jaelee’s game a half hour late but considering the 2 hour drive it wasn’t too bad. The girls did a good job cheering but got a little goofy towards the end.

After the game another mom on the team had a sister that owned a small restaurant up there and offered free lunch to the kids. After the game we headed over there so Jaelee could get lunch and hang out with her team.

We didn’t want to eat there because we knew we were going somewhere to watch the Boise State game and eat.

Little did we know that it was going to take over an hour to get her small little pizza. Greg grew impatient and went to a local bar to start watching the game while Jayse played with the players from Jaelee’s team and Jaelee played with her team.

I sat with the other mom to one of the girls on Jaelee’s team and we had a great conversation. It turns out she grew up in Dutch Harbor, like on the Deadliest Catch. It was a nice little break sitting there talking.

After Jaelee ate we went and got Greg and headed to a different restaurant to eat and watch the game. Unfortunately it seemed to be the only place besides the bar showing the game so it was busy. They didn’t have a table big enough for all of us to sit at where you could also see the game. I decided Greg and Jayse could sit at a little table near the TV and Jaelee and I headed to the back.

The food was really good and when we were done the kids and I left Greg there to finish the game and we headed to the hotel to chill for a bit. The rest of our adventure in McCall will be continued in another post.
