The day after Halloween I flew to San Diego to go to the Adobe Max conference for work.

I got in to San Diego at about 5, I took a shuttle to my hotel and once I got in my room I threw my stuff in there and went to get some dinner. I was right downtown so I was within walking distance of a lot of restaurants. I ate at a Mexican place, it was pretty good but pricey.

After dinner I went to the convention center to get my badge and conference packet. I then walked back to my hotel. On the way back I passed Ghiradelli’s chocolates. I had to go in and get some ice cream. I got this chocolate explosion. I love chocolate and ice cream but it was almost a little too much for me but still oh so delicious.

I walked back to my hotel room and called Greg and the kids.

The first day of the conference was awesome. I meet some great people and went to some awesome sessions learning a lot. The keynote was amazing and they had Bart Simpson. I also won a Nest Outdoor camera at the Pavilion.

The second day of the conference is definitely the best. The keynote is so inspirational. This year they had Zac Posen, the fashion designer, Lynsey Addario, Nat Geo photographer (so amazing!), Janet Echelman, sculpter (also amazing) and Quentin Tarantino. I loved it.

Also on the second day they have Sneak Peaks where they show you what they’re working on in the labs. These may or may not make it into their software but it’s always amazing.

After sneaks it’s the Max Bash which is one of the best parties. They had food everywhere, deserts on a belt traveling around, and 2 concerts. They had one of Janet Echelmans sculptures and it was amazing. It is net like material that changes color. It was beautiful to watch the colors change and the material shift and blow in the wind.

The 2 bands they had this year were the Mowglis and Alabama Shakes. I had never heard either of them but they both put on a great show and I really enjoyed it.

Ugh, it’s just all so amazing it’s hard to describe it all. After the Bash I was so tired and I had to walk all the way back to my hotel and it was horrible.

The last day of Max I had a bunch of sessions. They were all great and I learned a lot. After the conference my sister and her family came and picked me up and we went to our hotel. More on our adventures in the next posts.
