I got in from San Diego at midnight, I had to be to work the next morning at 8.  That night I had a concert.  It was my favorite band so I wasn’t going to miss it.  I bought the ticket 6 months before hand.  I have seen them in concert a couple of times and it’s always a great time.

I went with one of my best friends. She knew I would be tired so she brought me a bottle of 5 hour energy. It made a big difference and gave me the boost I needed.

The opening band was Six AM, I knew only 2 of their songs but thought they were pretty good.  The lead singer is Nikki Sixx from the Motely Crew.  They were a bit old school with chics dancing on stage and they way they were rocking.

Shinedown was co-headlining with Five Finger Death Punch.  Shinedown came first and they blew.me.away.  I had a great time.  That band is just so sincere and grateful and genuinely want you to have a good time. He even said as much at the beginning of the concert and had each person turn to the person on their left and right and said we were all neighbors and were there to have fun. When a fight started to break out on the floor he stopped the concert to remind everyone to just enjoy it and be kind to each other. It had everything, fire, dancing, my favorite songs, crowd interaction. Just can’t say enough how great they were and how much fun I had.

It was a bit different when Five Finger Death Punch came out.  They are a little too screamy for me.  The singer seemed to be having some personal problems and launched into this big speech about losing his family for things he says…blah blah blah I got a little bored.  I ended up leaving before they were done to get out before all the traffic.

Overall because of Shinedown it was one of the best concerts I have been to.
