Christmas morning Greg and I woke up at about 7:45 and we went upstairs to check on our crockpot breakfast and the kids were still asleep. I crept down the hallway to look in on them and Jaelee woke up. Jayse was still so sleepy he didn’t hear her get out of bed.

We put our Christmas tree upstairs and that’s where we left the milk and cookies for Santa. However, Santa left his gifts for the kids downstairs by the fireplace. So when Jaelee woke up she went right to the tree and said, oh no Santa didn’t come here. Then she saw the milk and cookies were gone so she said oh he came but I guess I wasn’t on the nice list.

Greg reminded her that our stockings were downstairs so she ran down there and saw what Santa brought her and was super excited. She went through her stocking and then wanted to go wake up Jayse. Jaelee had asked for an electric scooter and Santa in his wisdom knew Jayse better get one too so they don’t fight over the one. Jayse asked for an RC car which he got.

Jayse was still a bit sleepy when he came down and just kinda slowly took in everything. Once we had seen everything Santa brought we took it upstairs by the the tree to eat breakfast and open the presents.

They both tore through their presents pretty quickly and we had a huge mess of paper and boxes! Those 2 got some pretty great gifts, they’re pretty lucky. Jaelee said it was the best Christmas ever.

After opening presents we left the mess and just played, ate and watched movies the rest of the day.

We ventured outside to play with Jayse’s new RC car. It was pretty cool, it cruised over the snow and goes pretty fast. Jaelee also got him a remote control car and so she went outside to play with it. It was a pretty neat car too and would flip over and just keep going.

We also had to test out the scooters but it was too snowy and icy. The kids couldn’t get going fast enough to change it to the electric part. Jaelee started coughing her head off again so we headed back in.

We ate Christmas dinner downstairs while watching the Santa Clause. We LOVE sparkling cider so I had enough bottles for us each to have our own. The kids love it. Jaelee likes using the fancy glasses and holding it fancy. It was a great Christmas.

Breakfast in the crockpot is the best, waking up and having a nice warm breakfast on Christmas is one of our favorite traditions.

We got Jayse Lego Dimensions, it’s pretty cool. He had to put this together to play. So far him and Jaelee love it.
