This year we actually made it to the Mardi Gras Parade. We got up that morning and got ready to head to town for it. We had to park a bit away and walk to the parade route. Then we had to stand around and wait for 30 minutes or more until the parade got to us.

Once the parade started thought it was pretty good. They had people throwing so many beaded necklaces and candy. It’s pretty awesome for the kids. They had some pretty good floats too. My favorite was the big lake monster Sharlie, it was even breathing smoke. I think in total the parade lasted an hour and half I think that is a long time for a parade.

Jaelee was so proud of how many necklaces she got. I think she counted 17! After the parade we headed back to the cabin for lunch.
