10 Years!

It seems everyone says it but really where the heck does the time go? How is it Greg and I have been together for 10 years now?

We met on Saint Patrick’s Day 2007 and haven’t been apart since then!

Originally we were going to try and go on a cruise but being new homeowners there is so much we want to do around the house we opted for a low key celebration instead and put the money into our house.

A friend of mine told me about a hot springs where you could rent a room. We thought that sounded nice just the two of us in the woods at a hot springs.

Before we headed out of town we stopped and got our favorite cheese cake. It was a 2 hour drive away, when we left it was sunny and 70 degrees. I left wearing a t-shirt, jeans and flip flops. As we got closer to our destination I saw a lot of snow and our temperature plummeting to 33 degrees. I was a little worried about the clothes I brought but I ended up being ok.

On our way we passed over a bridge and Greg spotted some elk crossing the river. We pulled over and I snapped a few pictures. I didn’t bring my long lens so I couldn’t get great pictures but it was still cool to see.

Once we got to the hot springs we checked in and talked with the guy running it. He gave us a few ideas of where to eat dinner. We went to Featherville to get dinner. The bar was making corned beef and cabbage and that sounded good but a guy coming out told us they were out. So we went to a little diner next door. It was a small diner with little menu options. Greg had a burger and I had chicken strips. Soda was served in a can and they had had written notes. It was the kinda place we love.

After we had dinner we headed back to the hot springs. There was no one else staying there so we had the whole thing to ourselves. The pool was huge! I’m mean Olympic size pool huge. The temperature of the water was perfect.

A few handful of people showed up later but the pool is so big you didn’t even notice. Greg and I were so full from dinner we didn’t even eat our cheese cake.

We woke up early the next morning and ate our cheese cake for breakfast. We went out and enjoyed the hot springs for another hour. After another swim we headed back home. It was a perfect night and one I am glad we got to do. Love that husband of mine so much and am grateful for him and anytime we get together.
