Every year Jayse goes to a cleft palate clinic where he is seen by a group of experts from hearing, ortho, to a psychologist and his surgeon. This year we learned that he has another option to get hearing back in his left ear. Well sort of. There is a hearing aid called a bi-lateral cross. Basically the sound he would hear from his left ear is transferred from a hearing aid there to a hearing aid in his right ear. I was excited and so was he that we had another option. We were able to get a loaner pair and test them out for a few weeks.
They made a huge difference and we are currently in the process of getting him his very own. I am so glad he has an option to get his hearing back and they are pretty small and hard to detect he even has them.
