Jaelee had been sleeping in Jayse’s room or begging for him to sleep in hers. It was getting to be a problem because they would stay up and play or talk late and be really tired in the morning. So we talked with her and asked her how we could make it better in her room so she would sleep in there by herself.

She wanted a high bed with a desk under it. Jayse wanted a big bed like Jaelee’s so we thought we could switch beds. Give Jaelee Jayse’s bunk bed but remove the bottom bunk and put a desk under it and give Jayse Jaelee’s bed.

During this Jayse also needed a new dresser so when we were in Utah we decided to get him a new dresser and bed frame. We also got a paint sprayer and painted Jayse’s old bunk bed white. I had made a desk for the kids but hadn’t finished them so I painted Jaelee’s desk white to match her new bed and Jayse’s black to match his new furniture.

We got Jaelee’s new bed and desk in her room and she was super happy.

On Easter while we were making eggs and dinner Greg put Jayse’s new bed and dresser together and when it was all done he was super happy. So far it has worked out really great. They are both sleeping in their own rooms and still love it.
