Since I had work off and it was summer the kids and I decided to take a road trip to AZ to see my sister. Since it’s a 15 hour drive I decided to break it up into several trips. We were going to stay in Utah one night, then drive to Vegas and stay there for a few nights, then head to my sisters for the remainder of the trip. My friend Jamie decided to go with for the first part of the trip. She drove with us to Vegas and hung out with us then flew home.

We started out fairly early on Saturday the 3rd of June. We only needed to make it to South of Salt Lake which is a 6 hour drive so we were in no big hurry. Jamie had never been to Utah so it was neat traveling with her and have her experience it for the first time. I think the mountains in Utah are beautiful. They provide a gorgeous backdrop no matter where you are.

We made it to our hotel by the afternoon. Of course the kids just wanted to go swimming. So we let them swim for a bit. My mom came by and then we all went to dinner together. After dinner we decided to just go back to the hotel and swim some more and get ready for the next day. We wanted to leave fairly early as we had a 5 hour drive to Vegas and we wanted to get their early enough to do stuff.
