Heading Home

We left Saturday morning for a 10 hour car ride to Utah. Luckily Jayse slept threw the night with no sickness and seemed fine when we left. The car ride was great. The kids did amazing. They were quiet in the back just watching their movies and munching on their snacks. We made a few stops for the bathroom, gas and food but pretty much just cruised the whole time.

We stopped in Utah to stay the night and break up the drive. The moment we got to the hotel the kids wanted to….swim. Of course, as if we hadn’t done that enough, ha. Sunday morning we got up and drove the last 5 hours home. That seemed so short compared to the previous day but again the kids were great and traveled really well.

It was a great trip but it’s always nice to be home. Especially this trip because when we got home I found out that Greg had been working the whole week on finishing our ceiling. Before we moved in he scraped the popcorn ceilings but didn’t re-texture and paint the living room because he knew we were taking down a wall and changing the lighting. When we got all that done I kept asking him when the ceiling would get finished but it was going to be a lot of work and kept getting put off. While we were gone though he got to work and got it done and it looks amazing! So thankful for that guy I call my husband.

(The read mountains near St. George are stunning. I need to make a trip down there sometime to Zion National Park)
