The weekend before July 1st we headed down to Utah to be with family. On our way we stopped at Shoshone Falls to show LaRee. With all the water we’ve gotten it was a great year to see it. It was flowing really well and looked beautiful. After our quick stop we got back on the road and headed to meet Jenelee at a splash pad.
It was a nice park and the kids had a blast running around and playing with Elijah. I took a bunch of photos there, sadly that’s pretty much all the photos I took of our trip. I can’t believe that, with all of us being together I should of taken more. Anyway after the park Greg the kids and I headed to our hotel to get checked in and settled.
Then we headed down to Provo to meet everyone for dinner. We had dinner at packed restaurant with a confusing menu, somehow I managed to not get fries ordered and the kids meals were weird. Anyway what we did get was delicious and great to just be with everyone.
After dinner we headed to a carnival for BYU’s Stadium of Fire, where I still didn’t take any photos. We walked around and got some food. We stopped at some tables and listened to some music. It was a nice night out. Once it started to get dark we headed to our cars to drive to a park to watch a firework show.
We had a pretty great view of the fireworks. I took a few photos of those, LOL but still none of us. dang it. After the fireworks we headed back to our hotel and straight to bed.
The next morning we let the kids swim for a bit while I got our stuff ready and packed back up. We had to head back home because I once again couldn’t ask for time off work to stay and play with everyone threw the 4th.
We headed to Ikea before we headed home, Greg and I needed a bed frame desperately and there was one at Ikea we really liked. While there we also got a new dining table and some chairs. Just love Ikea. Because we had a 5 hour drive ahead of us we weren’t able to go and visit with family before we left, dang it again! I am grateful for the time we did get to spend with family but it’s never enough.
