Since Jayse had his game in McCall, it was our wedding anniversary and we hadn’t been camping in a while we decided to make our trip to McCall for his game into a weekend getaway.

We left Friday night after we got off work, as usual we got there when it was dark. We had decided to camp in our tent trailer because we hadn’t had a chance to camp in a long while. Jaelee’s coach had told me about a KOA in McCall that was really nice and had an indoor pool. We thought it would be fun to give it a try. So glad we did, it was awesome.

On our trip up there it was snowing a bit but not too much. We got to our camp spot and set up our trailer and beds. While setting up we saw A deer, I tried to get a picture but it was dark already. It was pretty late by the time we got everything done so we just went straight to bed. I took a picture of Jaelee in bed with Santa hat, sleeping mask and doll. She is so silly sometimes.

During the night we stayed pretty warm but I got cold a few times. We had a heater on but it wasn’t toasty warm for me. The kids kept warm though and we made it through.

When we woke up in the morning, it had snowed a bit. We walked to the camping ground lodge to check it out and it was beautiful. The swimming pool, view and building were picture perfect. The kids wanted to swim right away but we didn’t have time to do that before Jayse’s game. Jaelee couldn’t resist playing in the snow though and rushed to get her snow clothes on to play in it.

We talked to a few of the other campers and they were all shocked we were camping in our tent trailer, they all thought we would freeze.

We decided to go get some breakfast at the Pancake House. Man that place is good. We had so much food and it was all delicious.

After breakfast we headed back to the camp ground to get ready for Jayse’s game. While Jayse was getting ready Jaelee played some more in the snow. See previous post for the details of Jayse’s epic game.

After Jayse’s game we were all cold and wet and decided that a dip back at our camp grounds hot tub would be perfect. Before we headed back though we went to a local restaurant and got some pizza. One of Jayse’s team mates was also there and he was excited about that.

Once we finished lunch we headed back to camp. We put our swimming suites on and headed to the pool right away. It really was a beautiful pool and hot tub. All the people that we encountered that worked there were also super friendly. Just can’t say enough about what a great experience we had there.

We knew we wanted to go to the hot springs while we were close so as it started to get later in the afternoon we decided to head there. Since we were already wet and in our swimming suites we just hopped in the truck and headed there.

We love the hot springs and enjoy our time there. The kids play in the lower pools while we relax in the upper warmer pool. It was surprising how many people were there though.

A few hours had passed and we were all getting hungry so we headed back to town to go eat. It was pretty late by the time we went to eat and it had been an exciting day we were all exhausted at dinner. Jaelee put her head down and closed her eyes while we waited for our food. After dinner we were all ready to go back and just lay down and sleep. This time we turned on 2 heaters and between being extremely tired and the heat we all slept really well.

Sunday while I was packing up our trailer and getting ready to go, Greg took the kids to the pool to let them swim for a bit. We let them swim for a few hours and left at about 11. I had to take a few photos of the yellow and green trees on our way home, it just looked so amazing. Couldn’t of asked for a better anniversary weekend!
