The Long Road Home

We didn’t make it too far outside of the Grand Canyon before it started to get dark. I was so bummed because there is so much to see in Southern Utah. The darkness really makes the road seem long.

We didn’t make it as far as we wanted to before I wanted to stop again. It seemed like we had been traveling in darkness forever and we had gotten through a mountain pass that was snowing. We made it to a town an hour or two south of Provo and got a hotel room.

We went right to bed and woke up the next morning to Jaelee not feeling so great. She started to throw up. Luckily she threw up a few times and felt a bit better. Greg went to the store and got her some 7-Up. She said she felt good enough to get back on the road so we did. She sat up front with Greg so she could let him know if she needed to pull over. Luckily it never came to that and she felt good for the rest of the trip.

I was stuck in the middle with wiggly Jayse. Man he was all over the place. Laying on Hunter, laying on me, laying on a pile of stuff next to me. I think we were all stir crazy from being in the car.

It was weird that we had just been in 80 degrees and sunshine and we were driving through landscapes with snow. It sure looks pretty though.

We, mostly me love to play the license plate game, we did pretty good this trip and found quit a few.

There is nothing like getting home after a 10 hour car ride, I sure love to travel and love to spend time with my family but there is nothing like home.
