November Little Things

I spent a lot of time in November taking senior pictures. I was able to do 3. I really like taking pictures of High School seniors, they are fun to talk to. They listen to direction. I like finding fun locations. We went to parking garages, alley’s parks and the river.

We got a sink from one of the dorms Darin was demoing. We wanted to put it in our garage so Greg can wash up out there, among other things. We finally had a chance to get it installed after Greg finished the shed and moved a bunch of stuff out there from the garage. It cleared up a wall for it. Greg has a friend that is a plumber so he came over one night and helped Greg get it all plumbed up. It is pretty sweet I must say. I think it will come in handy in the summer when we are working out there more.

Jaelee and I got to go to the Wintry Carnival at the Jump building. It’s a new community center built by the Simplot family. The building is so cool looking I had been wanting to go check it out. The Wintry carnival was a great chance to do that. They had a bunch of Christmas vendors there and stations for kids to write letters to Santa and make ornaments. I think they had a lot more people come then they thought, it was packed and hard to walk around to see the vendors. One of my former co-workers was a vendor there. She left to start her own business making water color paints. She is amazing and I have bought several of her paints and love them. We had a lot of fun walking around just exploring the building. We bought a cinnamon roll to share and sat in a boat to eat it.

When we got back from Arizona Jaelee was doing better but then Jayse got the stomach bug. A few days after that Jaelee got it again. I don’t think we were doing a great job of making sure she was replenishing liquids and we ended up in the ER with her for dehydration. I don’t want to write a long post about our visit but it was terrible. At one point Greg got in a fight with the Dr. and she told him she wasn’t going to be his punching bag. Once Jaelee finally got an IV she started to feel better within minutes. It got to a point though where she was screaming that her stomach felt like it was turning inside out, her hands were curling in and her wrists were hurting. It was a bit scary. Luckily after we had been there for 5 hours she finally got some help and liquids and like I said felt better within minutes. To make the night even better for Christmas Greg had a remote start installed in my vehicle, it happened to be installed that day and I wanted to give it one try so I started the car but then I couldn’t figure out how to turn it off. I turned on the lights in my car to read the manual and figured out how to turn it off. I did not however remember to turn the interior lights off when I went in, so when we went to leave the ER after one of the worse experiences my car battery was dead. Luckily at 1 in the morning Greg was able to find someone to help jump start my car. Jaelee felt like herself the next day.
