Saturday is the big parade. The Mardi Gras parade is huge with 1000s of people there. The parade lasts an hour it’s crazy. We got there a bit later than normal and they didn’t have any great spots for us to sneak into, we ended up in front of a guy preaching about how we are all going to hell. Kinda annoying but…free speech and all that. Luckily once the parade started he left.
I don’t really enjoy the parade, it’s cold, the kids get bored waiting, it’s long and there are so many people. Often grouchy and territorial people. However, the kids love getting the candy and beads so we go. This year did not disappoint on the beads and candy or the grouchy people.
After the parade we headed back to the condo for some lunch. The kids played outside on their sledding hill again.

Jayse decided to improve his ramp from his path by getting rid of some of the ice. He got a hammer and chipped away at all that ice, making a nice pad for himself.

After sledding for a bit we came back in and ate before we headed out to ride the snowmobile. This year since it was our fifth annual I wanted something special so we borrowed a snowmobile from my Aunt and Uncle. We all took turns taking the kids out on rides. Amy’s kids did not enjoy it and both came back crying. Our kids loved it. The kids that weren’t on the snowmobile hung out and sledded some more.

Poor Jaelee the boys ruined the hill she was sledding on by walking up it.

I took a ride by myself before any kids to make sure I could handle the snowmobile. Greg captured a blurry picture of me.

Again that night we just hung out and played more games, which by the way we played Trivial Pursuit which is much harder than I remember and I won on a sports question. Everyone was shocked but none as much as me, LOL.
