This year at the fair I made a mistake, every year I buy the family pass before the fair to get a discount. I forgot this year and went to purchase tickets the day we were going. I saw a family pass and thought great I can still buy one, so I did. We got to the fair right as it started, stood in line for the gates to open, grateful we weren’t in the ticket line because we already had ours. We get to the entrance and they scan my phone with our tickets and they keep getting an error. The lady tells us the tickets are not valid, I asked her how that could be because I just bought them. She calls over a manager as the line continues to grow behind us. He looks at our tickets and figures out the problem. Turns out I bought tickets for the next day when it was family day. I had not realized this obviously. The next day was a Monday and Greg and I had to work, there was no way we could come back. He was really nice and let us go into the fair but the ride wristbands I had bought were only going to be valid the next day. He said he could not refund me those. I called my brother to ask if he could take the kids the next day because he had the day off. He said he could, we decided to stay at the fair and look at my photos, see the animals and eat like we usually do.

We still had a great time, I got a first and second place ribbon on my photos, we went to see the animals and petting zoo. Ate and spent way too much money on food, watched a water dog show and the kids got to play in the bubble water things again.

The best part is we didn’t have to take them on the rides and my brother went with them the next day and rode most of the rides with them. They got to go to the fair twice and my brother got to ride some rides, seems like a win win all the way around.
