My friend Amy and her boys came down for a weekend in February. We hung out a lot at her sisters place. We sat around talking, enjoying her sisters new baby and the kids ran around and played. We didn’t venture out much but we did make it to a new skating rink in town.

It was a bit nostalgic for me, Amy and I used to go skating at a rink every one weekend practically when we were in middle school. Just a few years older than my kids are now.

I must say neither of us did too bad getting back into skates. It was funny that they were playing a lot of our jams from that time too. Kinda weird. The kids had fun but fell quit a bit. It was tiring going around that rink so we all took frequent breaks. Amy’s nephew David played a game and won so he got a free drink. That meant that my kids all the sudden needed something to drink super bad. I broke down and got them something and they all sat together enjoying their drinks.

It was a pretty fun afternoon.
