The last week of school was a busy one for the kids. One night was the kids 5th grade musical and choir concert. Greg and I were able to get off work early and make it.
There was a new music teacher this year and he did a great job! The choir sounded really good, they sang songs from the Greatest Showman, which Jaelee and I had been obsessed with. The music in it is amazing. Jaelee and I were so excited about them singing those songs!
The 5th grade musical was pretty awesome too, they all had costumes, the stage was decorated and Dr. Peck the music teacher had written the whole thing! It had a great message behind it about being different but we should all be treated the same. Jaelee had a pretty big part in it as the wall eyed pickle warted yellow haired frog which we were not aware of. I knew she was practicing a song but I didn’t realize she had lines and it was a solo. She did so great, really proud of that girl. Jayse was a freckled cheek gnome.
Glad we got to go and see it all. I didn’t take many pictures because I mostly took video.
Choir Concert Performance, Jaelee is the one with the green suite under her t-shirt, she’s dressed like that for her part in the musical:

Jaelee’s big part is at about 7:10 in this video:
