April was a weird month with me working from home and the kids at home doing virtual school. I’ll get to more on that in post of it’s own. Since everything was shutdown in April we spent a lot of time together, which I loved except if I’m being honest the school part – which again I’ll get to. This post is about all the dinners we had together out on our deck and the movies we watched.

I tried to make dinner fun since we couldn’t go out. I replicated some of our favorite restaurant meals, had themes and some just plain easy ones. The weather was beautiful so we at out on the deck every night. Our neighbor made us some pizza one night that was amazing. The food was good.

One night Greg and I had the kids be our waiters. We hadn’t been able to go out for our St. Patty’s dinner and hadn’t had a date night in a while so the kids served us. Well really Jaelee did. Jayse didn’t want to do much. But Jaelee got into it. She even dressed the part. Love those kids.

We also decided to watch movies together. We started with the Harry Potter series, then did all the Marvel superhero movies, then we tried a few others – Narnia, Honey I Shrunk, Back to the Future the kids weren’t as interested in those. We are now currently working our way through the Disney princess movies. Those first few were pretty rough to get through. Never was a big fan of Snow White.
