This happens all the time in our house, someone left this tiny bit of juice in the container. Thank you kids!
Jaelee and I’s face mask adventures continued, this time we tried a clay one and afterwards we did under eye masks. I had 2 different kinds and we both wanted to try them so we split it and put one on each of our eyes. The clear gel one was pretty cool.
The kids rooms were a mess! Since we were home with nothing else to do I made them completely clean them. I had them take everything out of their rooms besides furniture and pile it in the dining & living rooms. We went through every single thing, made 3 piles – keep, donate & trash. Jaelee ended up with 6 bags of trash and 3 donate bags! That girl is like her dad she keeps everything because she can see it being used for something. I told them nothing went back in their room if it didn’t have a place so if we needed to get totes to put stuff in and add shelves in their rooms for items we would do it. And so we did. We added 2 shelves to Jayse’s room and 3 to Jaelee’s. We got a huge tote for all of Jayse’s nurf stuff and a bunch of different size totes for Jaelee’s room to organize her stuff.
I tell you what it worked! Their rooms have stayed pretty clean ever since. It has been really nice.
Since we were all home on the weekends with no where to go and nothing to do we did a lot of home projects like everyone else. We had a ton of wood in our yard. Greg had gotten some last year and we had some neighbors who had cut trees down and asked if Greg wanted the wood so it was also in our yard. I was sick of seeing all the wood so I made a deal with Greg that if he got a wood splitter from work the kids and I would go out there with him and stack it. We got it all split and stacked in a weekend. It took us about 6 hours each day. It was so much but felt really good to get it all done. We estimate this amount of wood will last us 3 years.
Love to sneak into the kids rooms and get pictures of them sleeping.
Greg made Jaelee this J to hang all her necklaces on.
Jayse would not let me take a pic of his face so I told him I’d take one of us butt…so there you go.
Mya turned 16 in April and Darin and Jess had a socially distance block party for her. We made a banner to hang from the truck to do a drive by parade. It was fun and so nice to get out of the house and see people.
Don’t know how Jayse sleeps like this his blanket is usually bunched up around his face with his legs hanging out.
Since we got all the wood cleaned up we were able to do something we’ve wanted to do for years, move the fence up from the back corner of the house to the front corner. Darin came over and helped Greg put the posts in but I helped with everything else. Moving the fence was going to allow us a couple of things. First the kids have wanted a pool forever, this would give us a place to put it and a good place to hide all of Greg’s extras.
