Since we got the fence up we had been getting ready to get a swimming pool. I had hoped we’d have it all done and ready by the kids birthday but with Covid pools were sold out everywhere. I finally found one that said it was in stock, ordered it right away and after weeks of hearing nothing I finally got a hold of someone only to find out the pool was not in fact in stock and was on back order and would be 6 weeks out. Even though we wouldn’t have the pool in time we were still working to have the pad ready.
Since we were still trying to get stuff done on Mother’s Day weekend we worked crazy hard moving a lot of dirt on Saturday. We were getting some sand delivered for the pad so we needed to get a certain amount done. On Sunday we weren’t quit where we wanted to be so even though it was Mother’s Day I said let’s go ahead and just keep working and get it done. Turns out it took much longer than we thought of course, so by lunch we were not ready to go on my usual picnic. So Greg and I took a break and just ate a sandwich. Once we were finally done I was exhausted, I took a shower we ate dinner and then I wanted to take pics of the kids. I was tired, sore, bummed Mother’s Day had been like every other day but hoped pictures would be good. I just wanted simple black and whites this year. I wasn’t asking the kids to get all dressed up or go somewhere. </p>
I set up my background – annoyed Greg didn’t help me and asked the kids to get ready for pictures. Jaelee did well and I got a couple of her but then Jayse started bothering her so I tried to get a picture of both of them. I got one picture and then Jayse again was bothering her. I had had enough I threw my stuff on the ground and went into my room and cried. I felt like I had been killing myself for weeks trying to get the ground ready so they could have a pool even on the day when I shouldn’t have to. I only asked foor one thing and I couldn’t even get that. So needless to say I have a few 12 year pics of the kids and one bad memory of Mother’s Day. Seems on par for 2020.
