This was a lot of work! We moved tons of dirty, literally.
Greg welded this together and created this gate. It is really nice having this.

I took down the old fence myself. I kept the boards to reuse in the house.
We ended up digging up way more dirt then we planned on. Luckily Greg brought this little excavator home. We dug up so much dirt and then had to move it and rake it all back.

We dug up all this dirt and raked it, looks pretty good without the dog run and all the weeds.

We had a patch of grass I wanted to keep, I thought some grass near the pool would be nice but where some of the grass was, was where we wanted to put the pool so Greg brought home this handy tool that cut the grass so we could move it.

The grass is all moved and now more dirt digging and raking.

The kids making a straight edge on the grass so we can create a box to put sand in.

Doesn’t look like much but this was 2 ton of dirt and weeds. Greg and I shoveled this all into his truck and and then all of it out. When it was super windy and the dirt was blowing into my eyes and hair at the stinky dump. So much fun!

Out here working even while it’s raining.

Got the box ready for sand.
Thank you Darin! He got and delivered the sand for us. Then helped Greg get it into our box.

We still did a lot of shoveling and raking to get it all into place.

Then we used these vibrating machines to smooth it all out and compact it.

Our pad is all ready, just need the pool. Jaelee couldn’t wait she blew up the barge and used it as a pool.
