For the last few weeks of cheer practice we just did fun games and things. We had learned all the cheers and the dance so there wasn’t much left for us to practice.

I made the girls little gifts. A frame with some pictures I’d taken over the season and a jar decorated with a bunch of starbursts in it.

We made posters for the last gamem made our own pom poms, did some team build activities like creating letters with our bodies, trying to flip a blanket with everyone standing on it, using M&M’s to say nice things about each other and ourselves and more.

For our end of season party last year I took the girls to get ice cream and fries but with COVID I didn’t want to take them somewhere indoors so I brought a party to the park where we practice. It was cold and windy but we still had a good time. I brought apples and caramel, hot chocolate and a variety of breads. We played games and had a good time.

For our very last practice it was really close to Halloween so I told the girls to wear their Halloween costumes. It was fun seeing all their costumes. We sat around while each one told a scary story. It was a good way to end the season.
