Christmas was pretty great this year. The kids slept in and I couldn’t wait any longer so I had to wake them up. They came downstairs to see what they got for Christmas. This year it was a small motorcycle and a bunch of candy. I think they were a little disappointed because they both wanted nice big new computers that didn’t happen but the last thing they need is more electronics so I had prepped them pretty good for disappointment.

They didn’t seem that excited about the bike and were ready to open presents and see what else they got. We usually make them wait until we’ve at least had breakfast and this year was no different. Luckily for them every year we do a crockpot breakfast so it doesn’t take long.

After breakfast they got to start opening presents – which again there might have been some disappointment because they mostly got clothes. Sorry kids growing up sometimes isn’t so fun! But they really needed some new clothes – they have grown like crazy in the last year.

We made a delicious lunch/dinner of ham, cheesy potatoes green beans and much more. It was soooo good.

After lunch we just kind all hung out, watched more Christmas movies. Then just as it was kinda getting dark I convinced everyone we should go out and try the bike. Greg loaded it up into little truck and we went to a nearby church to use their parking lot.

Ends up the kids had a lot of fun! And drove it until it was nearly dark even though it was snowing and freezing.

We had a pretty great Christmas even though it seemed weird without seeing any family. I hope everyone else enjoyed theirs as well.

Besides the bike Jaelee got a table she wanted to do Legos on and Jayse got new headphones for gaming.

Santa only fills our stockings with Reese’s cuz that’s what we like 🙂

I tried slowing my shutter speed down and tracking the kids on the bike so it would blur the background and give it a cool effect. It was pretty hard and most of the pictures were a complete miss.  I’ve still included some cuz it still kinda works.
