Hot Tub

A couple of weeks after we finished our pantry we got our long awaited hot tub! We had ordered it back in October but because of COVID it was on back order. I called the spa place every month asking when we would get it and finally in January they had good news!

It was delivered on Friday and Saturday Greg had a couple of friends who own their own electric company came over and installed and wired up all the electricity to get it going. I am so grateful for them! They really saved us a lot of time and money and got our hot tub going faster then if we had to hire someone.

They had everything done at about 3 and we turned it on. We had calculated it would take about 8 hours to heat up and we were determined to get in that night. We went to Darin and Jess’s to watch the UFC fights with them and a few other couples, we had a great time but as soon as the fights were over we were ready to go home and hop in the hot tub.

However, when we got home it still wasn’t hot enough. We went to bed and decided we would get in first thing in the morning. We did right when we got up in the morning before the kids were even up. It was so nice! I loved it. That night we all got in and have had a blast since.

The kids have had friends over. We’ve had friends over. I had a girls night with some of my coworkers. My best friend came down one weekend from Northern Idaho and she came over with her sister and mom and hung out. It’s been really nice. Jaelee and I have spa nights in there. Cole came over and spent the night one weekend and we set up our projector so they watch a movie from the hot tub.

Greg and I spend 30-45 minutes in there every night and it really is great. It’s a nice way to unwind, relax and talk. Greg even said he didn’t realize just how much he needed it until we got it.

We added some side panels to give it privacy and help with wind and a blind we can roll down on the front to do the same thing. It’s so nice!

The poor guys who delivered this had to get it all the way in the backyard through a whole bunch of mud but they did a nice job.

We added a hammock to our deck as well. Nice spot to relax and soak up sun.

Got myself some celebratory alcohol for my first drink in my hot tub.

Got the roof on

Sometimes I’ll go out and spend my lunch in the hot tub. Nice and quiet.

Facemask time in the hot tub.

We tried a lip mask, it was kinda weird.

We were in the hot tub while it was raining and Jaelee jumped out and got in the hammock.

All done with the privacy/wind curtains. We added some metal pipe on the sides. The curtains are grommeted on top and bottom so they stay put. I love how it turned out and I love the privacy it gives but the piping was crazy expensive but worth it.
