Moms Gone Vegas

I had been talking with my friends for FOREVER about doing a girls trip. Finally my BFF just booked a hotel in Vegas and said whoever can make it you’re welcome to. So glad she did that because we finally got our girls trip. It probably never would have happened if someone didn’t just do it. She got a really good deal on a room with her Hilton Rewards and she had to go to a sales meeting….blah but she was ok doing that.

At first it was just going to be my BFF’s from middle/high school – Theresa & Amy. But then last minute my sister decided she could make it. She is moving to Italy for 3 years so I was so glad she could fit it in between packing so we could have one last get together before she left. She talked a friend of hers from AZ into going and then her BF from Idaho decided to go too. I’m so glad we were all able to make it.

We left for Vegas on a Thursday morning. Greg took me and Amy to the airport and we met our friend Theresa there. Brandi and her friend were driving from Phoenix and Jamar was arriving later. (Funny story, she thought she was leaving about the same time as us but turns out her ticket was PM not AM, she was already at the airport and everything before realizing the oops.)

We got to Vegas and went to our hotel, we were getting pretty hungry so we basically threw our stuff in our room, looked around. It was a great room, we ended up with a suite. It had a huge tub, big shower, 2 bathrooms a kitchen and living room. Only downside was there was only 1 king bed. Luckily it had a pullout coach that was also a sectional so plenty of space for everyone. On our way to the hotel we’d asked our taxi driver for a good place to eat, he recommend an Italian place that happened to be across the street from our hotel. We decided to just walk over there and eat. Pasta probably was not the best idea in hindsight. We had some grumbly tummies later. We walked around the mall we were in after we ate for a bit but then Theresa’s grocery delivery was ready at the hotel so we booked it back over to get that.

My sister and her friend Ana arrived a bit later. And oh my gosh did they bring a lot of stuff with them! We had boos and snacks to last weeks! After everyone was settled we decided to walk over to the Venetian and walk around. We had reservations to eat at Tao there later. There were a few of us that had been to Vegas quit a few times, some that had been a couple of times and 2 that had never been. It was kinda nice, I’m one that has been there a bunch. I was able to help kind of guide everyone.

My BFF’s since we were 12! Love these girls like crazy.

My sister made everyone these! She is a cricut cutting machine, I thought they were so cute!

So much!

Had to bust out my new pouch and put a margarita in it, I mean we’re in Vegas right?

Sisters!

We all shared photos after the trip so I got some selfies my sister took, I love them – she’s so beautiful!

The restaurant we went had like 6 of these tubs lining the entrance.

My sister and her friend Ana from AZ.

Jamar didn’t get to the hotel until pretty late, we stayed up to great her and then all went to sleep. Friday Amy had to go to her sales thing. The rest of us got up and walked around. We went to Caesars – to their fancy mall. We didn’t make it too far before we were to meet up with Amy for lunch. We were going to go to the Hash house but there was a 2 hour wait so we ended up eating at a nice Mexican place close by.

We walked around some more and then headed back to the hotel to chill for a bit. We at some point made it to the pool. Then we got ready and headed back out. We took a cab to the other side of the strip and went to New York New York. We ended up going to Coyote Ugly for a while – longer than I thought we would. When we were in line to get in the bouncer told us there was no dancing aloud. We had to stay in our seats  – so I asked him if we could dance in our seats. That was ok. I think we all got a bit toasty there. We decided to wonder out a bit more. I think the combo of the excitement of being with everyone and the boos we ended up at a tattoo shop. We all ended up with a tattoo. It’s a compass to represent that no matter where we are physically and in life we will always be friends. My sister and I added the words no matter where to ours and everyone else just got the compass. I have to say I like it but had I not been a bit drunk I probably would of got it a bit smaller and bit different location. We did some other…Vegas things…the kinda that stay in Vegas :).

Saturday we did a lot more walking around site seeing. After lunch – we finally made it to the Hash House and it was really good. I wanted to take a break so I had enough energy for the night. Theresa and I went back to our room and took a nap, Amy went shopping at the mall and Brandi, Ana & Jamar went to see more hotels.

That night we went to Freemont Streeet. It was a lot of fun. The street performers and the lights are really fun. It was a bit cramped though. We had a guy go by and give us tickets to a Karaoke bar. Ana wanted to go and we all thought it would be fun too. I thought we’d only be there for a bit again but it was so fun so we stayed. They were playing music that brought us back to our club days. We had fun dancing and singing along. I will say one of us got a bit drunker than the rest and we needed to get some food so we left. We ended up getting a ride from our hotel driver back to our hotel. Ana ordered some Jack-in-the-Box tacos on our way back cuz that is a must when you are drunk. Sadly the food driver took forever and it took over an hour for the tacos to show up. They were soggy, missing half and cold by the time we got them. Most everyone had passed out. Half of us had to be up early to catch our airplane home.

Sunday we got up and got ready to fly home. Amy, Theresa and I said good bye to my sister and Ana (Jamar was already gone on a plane by the time we got up) and got a cab to the airport. I’ll say we had one who may still have been a bit drunk, LOL and maybe threw up in the Taxi on the way to the airport. Luckily one of us is a prepared mama and had a zip lock ready. Hahaha. Love Vegas. We had such a great time. It was def more rowdy than I thought it would be. I thought we’d chill by the pool most of the time but it was perfectly the perfect the way it was!

We all got home in time to spend Mother’s Days with our families. So thankful for my girlfriends!

Jello shots!

Our tattoo inspo

This guy was like 7ft tall and Jamar is like 5 2. My sister stopped him and asked if he’d mind a photo. He was nice enough to.
