Riding

We were so excited to take the Mule out and go on a nice drive through the mountains. On a Saturday we loaded up one of the 4 wheelers, the mini bike and the mule to head out to the mountains. We were going to go pretty far out and take a nice long drive. However, we barely made it out of our neighborhood before Greg saw smoke behind him and then we could smell tires burning. He pulled over and found that the mule was too heavy for the trailer it was on. The weight was pushing the deck down onto the tires and rubbing them. He thought he’d be able to slowly drive back to the house but with just a bit of driving he saw smoke again and we could smell burning rubber. We decided to unload the Mule and I’d drive it back to the house and he’d follow in the truck. It was super early in the morning and kinda chilly but it was fun driving the Mule back. I had to go through a few neighborhoods and down a major road but we made it back safe and sound.

We just unhooked the trailer, left the Mule and adjusted our plans. Instead of going far out into the mountains we’d only go to a trail just outside of town. We’d of loved to still go to the mountains but we didn’t have enough UTVs for everyone to make the journey so we compromised.

The kids road the bike and 4 wheeler around for a bit. The trails were SUPER bumpy. I road the 4 wheeler around once and it was too bumpy for me, I did not enjoy it. After they both said they were all done we loaded everything back up and headed home. Bummed we didn’t get to do our first plan but grateful we still got out and had some fun.
