Jaelee and I used to go up to Northern Idaho to U of I homecoming but we hadn’t been able to in a lot of years because we had cheer/football on Saturdays. Now that we didn’t I thought it would be a good time to go back up there. Jaelee did not remember going up there at all. We got up there Friday night and stayed with Amy’s aunt. All the hotels were booked or super expensive and Amy has couple of cats and I’m allergic so her aunt graciously let Jaelee and I stay with her.

On Saturday we got up and I went to move my car and my light for a low tire came on so I took it to Les Schwabb to get fixed. It sounded like it was going to be a while so we just left my car there and
we drove Amy’s car up to Moscow for the homecoming parade.

They have a pretty great parade. There are a lot of marching bands in it – which we were particularly interested in since Jaelee has decided to join on next year. We kept an eye out to see if we could find anyone that played her instrument and never found one.

After the parade we walked around downtown and to the UofI store. We got ice cream. Jaelee got a new shirt, I got a new couple of hats.

We had to be back by 4 to pick up my car so we headed back in the afternoon. We got my car and went by Amy’s apartment to grab a few things and then we all went to her Aunts house to hang out and have dinner. We took the kids to the park for a bit to run off some energy, while Amy and I walked around and talked.

In the morning we went to breakfast – it was delicious but we had a LONG Wait to get it. This place was packed and busy. Because it took so long we had to head home right after we were done.

It was a great visit I’m glad we got to do it. Jaelee really loved the campus up there and said she wants to go to college there. I’d be perfectly happy with that.
