Greg turned 40 on January 3rd. I wanted to have a big party at our house or rent a space at an axe throwing place but Greg didn’t want to do much. He can be the practical one in our relationship sometimes and he said he’d rather save the money and have a great time in Italy so we kept it simple.

While he was at his parents the kids and I decorated the house with balloons, streamers and banners. We had a heck of a time getting the balloons on the railing. I think Jayse and I almost murdered each other. But we did it and it looked great!

The day of his birthday we went to dinner at his favorite place – Texas Roadhouse with my brothers and Darin, Jess, Cole & Kenzie. Then we came home and had his requested cake, German Chocolate. Jaelee had been dying to buy him old man stuff so we got him a grabber and a cane. Darin & Jess also got him some old man goodies – it was fun.

Glad we got to celebrate him!
