Jaelee had an opportunity to play with the high school pep band at a basketball game. It was a lot of fun – fun for her to play and fun for us to watch. I gotta say I was not into band in high school but those kids are awesome. They are so inclusive and they made sure she had a great time. They all just seemed to exude happiness and fun. I think she is really going to love being in band. I’m excited to see what the future of band holds for her.

Also as a surprise my high school history teacher Mr. Lincoln was one of the refs for the game! I happen to still keep in touch with him and his wife – more his wife (she was my teacher as well and BPA advisor). I took a few pictures of him and text them to her. She had fun with them and sent them to him but didn’t tell him how she got them, LOL. He has a stalker 🙂

Mark – one of Jaelee and Jayse’s good friends. He plays the trombone which Jaelee is thinking of trying in high school.
