On Friday we were getting back on the train and heading back to Milan. Our train didn’t leave until noon so we had time to get up slowly and make our way to the terminal.
I had wanted to stop by the Spanish Steps on the way to the train but completely forgot. That is one of the things we missed in Rome I would of loved to see. Of course there are 100s of things we didn’t see. Rome is such a big city and there are so many museums and things to do, we could of spent the whole 2 weeks there. We crammed in as much as we could though. It was an amazing experience.
We walked through Piazza Navona again. Jaelee had wanted a pen at the gladiator museum but we told her to wait and see if there was something else she might want more. At the end she still really wanted the pen so we went back to get it. Sadly the store was not open yet and didn’t open in time for us to wait and go back.
Let’s get one more look at those fountains.
We walked past a pastry shop and all went in to try some more pastries. They were pretty good but again filled with Nutella. One of the pastries we thought would be soft was not, it was crunchy.
Loved this sign at the shop.
Loved this sign in another place we walked by.
We would of loved to go in this monument but again just didn’t have enough time. Maybe next time, it was fun walking by it again though.
This time we noticed guards around it that we didn’t before. Let’s look at this closer, it’s the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier.
We passed by a wax museum, we didn’t go in but a few quick pictures.
Look at those streets, up and down and all crammed in. Could you imagine driving on these? I think I would rather walk!
Loved all the different door knockers.
There was a protest right in front of the temrinal, we don’t know what it was for but it was a lot of young people.
Back on the train and back to Milan.
300 km per hour.
Back at Brandi’s and Jayse is on the Oculus.
