This year both the kids decided to do track. Jaelee was doing discus and shot put for the 2nd year and Jayse surprised us by doing the 100, 200m hurtles and the relay. I personally thought he would do shot and discus.

Their first meet was away. This track is not set up the best. Shot and discuss are close to the track but there is a fence around that doesn’t allow you to get between the 2 very easily. We were not sure how soon Jayse’s meet would be. While we were watching Jaelee I heard an announcement and thought he’d be up soon so I ran to the stands to catch him. Turns out it was a long time before he ran and I missed Jaelee doing discus. I got to see her doing shot though. She did a really good job.

This track meet was cold. I was not prepared for that and some how I did not have blankets in my car – which I always do. Jaelee and I were freezing so we sat in the car and Greg would text us when Jayse was up.
